We always have such a great time with our friends and feel super lucky that even though we live 2,000 miles away, they find it worth their time to spend some with us! :)
Naomi, Rob, Owen, and Reagan were the first to stop by and this trip turned out to be a little different than their last.
We went from swimming suits and shorts in 2013:
and more importantly, 2 new additions to the families!!

Reagan at 4 months and Teagan at 8 months
The weather couldn't make up it's mind, so we had some days of sledding on snow...
And other days of sledding on grass.
We took advantage of the "warm" days...
and the cold days....
And even snuck in a wonderful and relaxing date night!!
Reagan had her first solid food EVER (o.m.g.)
She is obviously thrilled with my cooking :)
And Owen got his first trip to Monkey Mountain with Kinsey by his side to show him the ropes....

I swear they weren't locked in a cage.....for that long ;)

The men and their ladies 0:)
It wasn't just the kids who had fun at Monkey Mountain.
It's a good thing my face looks so retarded so as to detract attention from my totally ghetto socks.
We've got to work on those ab muscles :P
There is seriously no better mom-son time than this :)
RAAAAWRRR!!!
Our efforts to completely physically exhaust our children continued as we left Monkey Mountain and headed to Gorgoza Park for a little tubing action :)
Owen was PUMPED.
And so was I....
"Hooray! Another Photo OP!!!"
(While I'm usually glad that those 2 words frequently run through my brain - they also end up haunting me when I realize that I have 830 photos to sift through for one blog post. Holy balls.)
We all had a BLAST!!
(Well, maybe "all" except for Teagan and Reagan. Unless chilling in your carseat is somehow much more exciting than I would imagine it to be. They were such troopers!!)

Patiently waiting for their big siblings :)
We learned that our kids don't need all the fancy bells and whistles of Monkey Mountain and a tubing park to have fun. All they need is a store fully stocked with a ferris wheel, aquarium, jungle gym, shopping carts, bicycles, video games, and huge stuffed animals to have a good time. So, Scheels it was :)

Kinsey's first Ferris Wheel ride!! She's finally tall enough. Must be all that spinach she's eating ;)

2013 vs. 2015 :)

A boy and his dad 0:)
At night we gave ourselves and the kids baths, although we only took pictures of them naked.
Why baths, you ask?
Ask no more:
The bath even ended up requiring a bath after Teagy got through with it.

Making sure all the poo residue was gone :P

Have you ever seen a boy wear a pink towel and still look as manly as this?
Owen was an absolute sweetheart for the whole visit and this time spread the love to Teagan as well :)
![]() |
Pretty sure she's loving this headlock :)
He even let her suck on his toes. How altruistic of him :)
Playing dress-up with her :)
He and Kinsey had tons of fun too.
They chilled on the couch...
jumped on the couch...
made experiments that you are only supposed to look at but instead tried to eat....

Best photobomb award goes to Teagy in the top picture :P
jacked our phones....
locked themselves in the basement....
and got paint all over everything.
It was a parent's dream ;)
The two littles bonded over blankets and rattles....
squished Naomi and I in the backseat on car rides...
and just hung out and enjoyed each other's company.
We ended up hanging in the house the last day or two to relax and recover from all of our excitement.
But even that was fun :)
One of my favorite parts about this whole trip was our picnic and movie night in the basement :) So much fun!!

Teagan: "Are you gonna eat that??"
One of Rob's favorite things he did was snowblow.

Now we know where Owen gets his manliness.
Unfortunately we didn't have time to hit the gym while they were here. We only had time to eat loads of Tillamook icecream and watch Homeland marathons. BUT, at least Rob and Teagan got some stretching in.
And on the final day of their trip I told Kinsey to go give Owen a hug. And this is what occurred over the next 3 minutes.
Translation: Stare at me and smile. Proceed to walk towards him. Stop, turn around, smile at me. Proceed 2 steps further, repeat. Then repeat again. And again. Good heavens....where does she get this shyness from?
All in all it was a delightful visit and we are SO thankful that they came out here! You have a beautiful, fun, adventurous family and we are so lucky to be friends with you guys!
In conclusion, I've decided that the theme of their stay was "It's science." because according to Rob, everything he says is science...especially if he found it on the internet.
And one thing is for sure.
Good friends + Cute kids = Awesome time. It's science.
